The Gunnison Rising Master Plan area will be serviced by the Gunnison Fire Protection District if annexed to the City of Gunnison. With the proposed central water system, hydrants are proposed at regular intervals along State Highway 50, as well as within the Gunnison Rising site. The locations of the fire hydrants will be delineated as development moves forward on the site. Water lines for Gunnison Rising have been sized to accommodate fire flows.
